The Toronto Airport Marriott Hotel had just completed a renovation of their lobby, restaurant, cafe and dining area on the first floor. Their restaurant has remained completely unnamed as they came up with a title that didn’t end up matching the aesthetic once the renovation had been completed. I worked with a fellow copywriter to do this naming exploration.

We started by casting our net wide, laying out all the words we thought of. We then categorized them within 3 domains: Community (as in the surrounding community, proximity, the hotel goers themselves), Texture (the actual look & feel of the space), and Food (the actual menu items, ingredients, local sources). From there we boiled it down to two solid concepts. Below are excerpts from our presentation:
