lesli ink ltd.
Senior Art Director
It’s here that I was truly able to establish myself creatively and professionally, in my role as Designer and Art Director at Lesli Ink.
I honed my own design sensibilities through managing and developing creative concepts, fully integrated branding systems, packaging, layouts, ad campaigns, e-commerce shops, portfolio websites, apps, and social media content. I was responsible for the full project work-back from the conceptual/strategy phase all the way up to execution and final production. This meant liaising with strategists, marketing managers, developers, and photographers.
This particular environment also called for a level of adaptivity and ability to develop a multi-pronged skill set. For example, it was at Lesli Ink where I was able to seize the opportunity to copy write for a handful of websites and campaigns we were charged with. As a boutique design studio with strong connections both locally and in New York City, I was able to work with brilliant creative minds, local up and coming entrepreneurs as well as managing large corporate accounts.

DASHBOARD
Intermediate Art Director
My time at Dashboard was integral in learning the processes and structure of a full-fledged advertising agency. I engaged in all facets of its runnings: brainstorm sessions, client check-ins, orchestrating pitch decks, video/in-person presentations, connecting with all the in-house departments (accounts, strategists, programmers).
It was here that I broadened my professional borders, working with larger corporate clients such as ING Direct (now known as Tangerine), Nissan Canada, and Wrigley’s. The work with these clients provided incredible insight, and I strongly believe it adds to my ability to operate in various work environments and in-house creative teams.

sweet caesar
Freelance UX Designer
This freelance design connection was the first time I was tasked with wireframing and design for app development. In specific, we created the go-to mobile applications for various conferences on the platforms at the time (Blackberry, Android, iPhone, Ipad). These self-contained applications would have fully integrated maps, conference schedules and program information for attendees. The planning and creation of these apps served as the introduction and foundation of my UI/UX knowledge.

Graphic Designer
As my very first position in the industry, this is where I learned what was the bread and butter of all creative agencies. I’d worked my way up from junior to intermediate level designer, first starting with small banner campaigns and print collateral to developing the full brand for a newly-opening hotel chain in Greece by the name of Imperial Rhodes: this includes logo, style guide, brand system, palette, tone and the creation of various templates for their use.
The primary account was Starwood Hotels & Resorts (umbrella company for Sheraton, W Hotels, Westin, etc. know recently acquired by Marriott), so I am acutely familiar with the hospitality industry. I was also in close quarters via email/tele/video conference with the marketing managers of various teams literally across the globe. I think this lead to my competency in my continued collaboration with marketing and brand strategists.
